Do we really know what the "Spores" are?

Resurgence
MemberFacehuggerMar-02-2017 10:55 AMOkay so recently I read the novel 'Prey' by author Michael Crichton, (yes, the Michael Crichton that wrote 'Jurassic Park') which is about Nano-Technology, and after reading it, I started thinking about the movement of the so-called "Spores" and realized something, in the trailer we see the spores going up and backwards of the character that disturbs the pods, but when we see it again it is entering another's ear which if it is the same spore cloud we see released then why would there be another character facing to the person in front of him's left and if it is the same character then that would still be very strange considering spores are unable to move on their own and if you say 'it's because there is wind' you're wrong because the wind is blowing the opposite direction of the character that's why the spore's would be blowing that direction they were, and they were moving towards his ear as if there was a vacuum in his ear sucking it towards it and the spore when we see it seems to be expanding and contracting to move similar to squids, which makes me believe that they are in fact Nano-Technology, the pods even remind me of the constructors in 'Prey'.
Look upon my works, you mighty, and despair
