What would you do if you survived it?

Something Real
MemberTrilobiteFeb-02-2017 10:03 PMHello there.
While considering the many possible outcomes to the upcoming film, Alien: Covenant, I found myself pondering a rather morbid question: What would I do if I were impregnated with an Alien and then, somehow, survived the chestburster? It is a very frightening thought. However, suppose you did manage to survive having an Alien rip its way out of your body and could mend the near-catastrophic damage to your chest. What would your thoughts be after such an event - knowing that a murderous creature imprinted with your DNA was on the loose? As always, your thoughts and conjecture concerning this topic a most appreciated - even if you choose to keep them to yourself. :)

As a matter of fact, I would very likely do the exact same thing - after recovering from a nervous and mental breakdown, of course. :)

I think the chances are slim due to the Damage that would be caused and it would not be long before you die.. so you last thoughts and memories would be seeing the thing you gave birth too run off or even try and attack you.
Now if you survived because of a Advanced Med Pod Surgery like in Spaights Draft... then what SM said is the perfect response.
Unless your Watts (Shaw from Spaights draft) then i guess you chase after it with what ever weapon you can find.. cus she was basically more bad ass than Sarah Connor never mind Ripley.

Resurgence
MemberFacehuggerFeb-03-2017 8:25 AMbased upon Watts reaction to the chestburster and her behavior before the chestburster, before the chestburster she was cautious, carefully calculating everything she did in the juggernaut, suspicious of anything trying to kill her, and after she seems reckless, and unafraid to die, which is how everyone in canon who is infected reacts begging for death completely unafraid of facing death on their own terms.
Look upon my works, you mighty, and despair

MemberChestbursterFeb-03-2017 10:00 AMSue him? :) No, seriously I suppose I would keep fighting, searching for a way to survive. We have two cats (joneses :) ) I regularly see them dragging in mice, birds etc and I see how these poor creatures search for hiding places, run for openings, scream, defend themselves in different ways etc.
Humans are used to being at the top of the food chain, I suppose that's why Alien is so terrifying?
