Another Kane Facehugger Issue

I'd say it cuts of any intake of air from the outside.I think it would take in the carbon dioxide we breathe,filter it out,the breathe the oxygen back in.

But ultimately, the brain and vital organs require oxygen. I wonder how the face hugger could provide that in the that environment. 

This is a tough one.

However they do it, that makes them look designed or specifically adapted for humans. It clearly needed Kane to survive until the birth, and once it jumped on, it only had about 2-3 minutes to figure out what he needs to breath. To me, this makes it more likely that it already "knew." Especially since the facehugger doesn't seem to have a high functioning nervous system.

Exactly. I tried to sate that in the OP but seem to have failed.

I checked out facehuggers on a wikia and it says nothing about this.

Yeah, more or less.  I can't imagine it could naturally store enough O2 to continue breathing for him, so the other option is it processes the ambient atmosphere into something breathable.

Good thing they got him back to the ship before it dropped off.

I often find wiki's trustworthy.

I think asphyxiation would be frightening but less painful.

I vote neither,but with a chestburster you go out in a way no one will forget lol.

1 of 2 possibilities

1:the xeno and obviously face hugger r an ancient species and have evolved, due to theyr millennia long history with the engineer, to provide the required oxygen the engineers need to breath when they r hugged. with the engineers having created us they know already the hugger is compatible and able to sustain us during impregnation.

2:much the same backstory but if the engineers have created the xeno/ hugger as a bio weapon in some civil war then, again, the hugger would have been engineered for fellow engineers physiology which makes them compatible with humans.
