A simple theory

ok, been reading the forum for a few weeks, so many great angles and perspectives, i couldnt resist adding my own for covenant.......

david and shaw fly to paradise.

they get shot down - unidentified craft, not responding, deadly cargo.

ship crashes, cargo spills, mutates ecosystem.

engineers panic, hide in fortress, nuke anyone infected (frozen bodies from leaked photo)

shaw survives?? Converted to alien queen/thing that lays eggs?

david spends years bio engineering, goo doesnt affect him, neomorphs cant sense him?

Covenant arrives, wants the tech/xeno, but crew doesnt.

david sabotages crew, they get infected/ wiped out.

some escape to covenant, alien goes with them. 

Ripleys mum ejects alien like in the first film, nice and circular.

i think the space jockey could be who the engineers report to, and may get involved when they find the engineers are extinct, hence the size difference in jockey and the same tech.

another movie might be about weyland getting to grips with davids planet after covenant, but the big boys get involved and try wiping out humanity again, hence crashed juggernaut on lv426.

Other perspectives

the engineers worship the xeno as a sacred animal, hence its dna is used for goo and they can handle their acid etc?

Lots of religious references everywhere in prometheus, look at the xeno, isnt it the opposite of an enlightened human? isn't the whole story an allegory of mans inner nature to devour everything, being exploited for greed by a few, and others, who are deceived being its victim?
