Well, now to the actual topic. Like others one thing bugged me. How can the Jockey be a fossil (Alien ca 2122 AD) when David is supposed to create the Xenomorphs (Prometheus/Alien: Covenant ca 2093 AD - 2103 AD). I was like wth?! Fossilisation takes way longer than roughly 20 years, right?
Then I started to read a few articles and was surprised. According to experiments fossilisatiion can even happen within months, given the right conditions.
That however brought up a new problem. Namely "the right conditions". During the process of fossilisation body tissue is replaced with minerals from the encasing medium (mud, sand etc). But our friend the space jockey is not "encased" but is sitting on a chair in a "domelike tomb" on a seemingly dead planet. If anything SJ should rather be a mummy than a fossil.
That being said leads to the question: Why is his biosuit hardened then?
Now to the other topic.
In various posts here can be read that during Covenant the xenomorph is created, with the help of "Android DNA" to gain its biomechanical features.
Wait, what? DNA... Android.... Uhm....
I went over to the WY site and looked. https://www.weylandindustries.com/david
- Cadmium Skeleton
- Polyurethane coating (Skin I presume)
- Polymer-encased brain stem component
- Lithium ion cells
and so on.
Unless i missed something altogether nonorganic materials. Given Walter is of a similar design they would need to come up with quite the DNA-marvel if an organism is supposed to even process these materials.
But that´s just my 50 cent.
So long. Cheers, folks.
Eine Theorie die nicht auf Etwas solidem basiert ist für gewöhnlich nur Geschwätz.
