Predator: Badlands - coming November 7th, 2025
Its hard to say that the engineer homeworld is LV-426 because:
1)LV-426 was discovered by weyland corp. in 2039 while the planet in AC according to the official plot synopsis was discovered by the crew of the Covenant in 2104.Some other info says that the engineer planet is unmapped.
2)LV-426 is a rocky moon while the engineer planet is filled with forests, large mountains, rivers, lakes etc.
3)The crashed engineer ships on each planet is quite different.
"Abs are not a sign of power, it's just a sign you don't eat enough."-JF Caron
Since Scott is connecting Alien Covenant to Alien it would make sense that maybe LV-426 could be engineer homeworld. The AC crew(whoever survives) still could of left it undiscovered after leaving it by the end of the movie of AC. The juggernaut and Derelict are in similar positions. The engineer homeworld could be completely destroyed by end of AC hence making it more like LV-426..just speculation..
My synopsis of the film..
We see a flashback of what killed off the engineers homeworld with the temple massacre at the beginning of the film
Movie then moves to the crew arrives on Paradise, engineers homeworld. They get exposed to Alien spores that infects a few of them. Some of the crew try to contain the infection but it fails so one of the crew members blows up the landing shuttle to hopefully contain it while other crew members are exploring. They other crew members find David and Shaw's juggernaut and explore but still no sign of life. Eventually more crew members die from infection. Eventually they meet up with David who tricks them into believing he can help them escape while he then traps the remaining crew to only do experiments on them. Walter, the other android frees Daniels and they try to kill David in the process. Eventually David is killed but not without completing his experiments and the Xenomorph is created from the crew's body hosts. Walter and Daniels kills the Xenomorph and use an Alien ship to go back to their main ship in space.
Thats all I can come up with.. I feel the next movie will explore LV-426 and the Space Jockey to complete Ridley Scott's Prometheus Trilogy
Google Synopsis of film
"Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, members (Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup) of the colony ship Covenant discover what they think to be an uncharted paradise. While there, they meet David (Michael Fassbender), the synthetic survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. The mysterious world soon turns dark and dangerous when a hostile alien life-form forces the crew into a deadly fight for survival."
I agree with Dark Nebula
it would be a cop out if this new world turns out to be lv 426....
with the amount of detail and depth Ridley is going I can't see him going that route, it wouldn't make sense
But! It's still some creative ideas in here.
Ridley said in an interview this will be a Alien Prequel Trilogy. So I'm thinking LV-426 and the original Space Jockey we'll see in the next and final film..just my guess..
Nice little Change to the Synopsis.. (on Google)
And i think maybe some parts your correct, i have my own evolving Synopsis... but maybe be too spoilery lol
"Since Scott is connecting Alien Covenant to Alien it would make sense that maybe LV-426 could be engineer homeworld."
I think it depends if they want to go the Lazy Route.. who knows.. if they do this they would then need to explain a few things to tie up massive loose ends..
In the Alien Timeline, we have to wander why the Hell bother with the Xenomorph especially after Aliens and the destruction of Hadleys Hope... If LV-223 has Engineer Tech, the Black Goo and means to create similar Bio-Weapons.
By having Paradise as LV-426 or even close by... would then give TWO Reasons why bother with LV-426 in Alien.
The only logically conclusion to Tidy it up would be, to have something happen to the Planets to render them useless..
Problem with this is any kind of destruction that would change Paradise to LV-426 but leave the Derelict intact as far as having Cargo etc....
Would surely mean similar Event on LV-223 would not destroy the Many More Engineer ships on that world....
They Weyland Files hint to knowing about a signal from LV-426 prior to Prometheus... and David knows.. and is even supposed to keep a eye on it....
But again Weyland Easter Eggs and Support Files do more to complicate the story and create Plot Holes....
The Space Jockey being what looked thousands of years old, and Ridleys comments about if being so... can simply be retcon to change these events.... all that is TRUE CANON is ultimately what is shown on the Screen.
So they could have the Space Jockey as being a event after Alien Covenant... and come up with some reason why it looked so old.... which explains why it looks old but its actually not...
The Prometheus clues such as 2000 year old outbreak and Chest Busted Cryo-Sleep Engineers and Location close to LV-426 could then be taken as Coincidence and not actually directly connect the Space Jockey as a Ancient Event.
If they go this route... they need to be clever about it and avoid conflicting information and story....

There are clues to suggest its not LV-426
First Canon-logically as far as in Movies...
1) Holloway says when he is holding the briefing about why the Prometheus Mission was there... that the Star Maps found, pointed to only one Matching System... this system has a Sun, that has a Planet with just one Moon capable of supporting Life.... and they arrived there that morning..
Now we know it has more than One Moon.. so Holloway is saying that only LV-223 supports life... which it can at a basic level... the majority of the Moon can not support Human Life and it lacks any real Vegetation etc.. Quite a contrast to Paradise.
But Holloway could be wrong... surely upon nearing LV-223 they would have detected the other Moon was more Earth like.
2) When David asks Shaw for help, to get off this world.. Shaw says she does not want to go home but to where the Engineers come from...and can David do that.... David says once he has figured out the broad strokes (operating the ship) then finding Paradise should be simple.... but i think this scene could imply its not a case of being so close... as David could say certainly its not far away... but then his wording could point to it being not difficult as in it is close...
3) Janek proposed the Engineers would not be so stupid to build WMD on their door step...... But then i guess a Bio-Weapons or Virus study Base on the Moon would not pose a massive threat to Earth... and so its on the Door Step.. but not exactly as far as right on the same surface of the same Planet/Moon.
Other related to build up to AC comments by Ridley and Synopsis.. clues against LV-426
*Ridley Scott said they are going to the Planet of the Engineers.... not a Moon.. but in other interviews he said Homeworld which could mean either.
*The Synopsis claims.. "Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy" Again Planet and not moon..... and far side of the galaxy i think is a tease its not as local as LV-223 which was 39LY away.
Then again LV-223 was the darkest side of the Universe which is much greater than our Galaxy... but dark could mean as far as Sinister... And so with AC the far side of the Galaxy could actually be no where near the far side.. (which would be 60-70'000 LY + away).
*It looks like a Large Planet not a Moon.. but then you could say the same for LV-223 when they entered it.. and so the Moon of Paradise... could just as easy be another Moon and Paradise is a Moon too.
I would bank on it not being LV-426..
Again i had a Source who passed on information from Febuary 2015 based as the claim off the October 2014 Paglen/Green draft where they said Paradise was located 600LY away but they said could have meant 600 Parsecs too... but it was near the Constellation of Ophiuchus
I thought that was pretty specific if true..
Someone pointed out on here back then that Ophiuchus is mentioned in Paradise Lost..... and doing some digging the Constellation is close to the Pillar of Creation its also a constellation that connects to many Ancient Cultures..
Commonly as far as.... Place of the Gods, Serpents, the Key to Immortality. These are connected to how a number Ancient Mythos link to Ophiuchus
Prometheus touched upon Mythos and Philosophy and Religion too, many such Fables have connections to Serpents, Gods and key to immortality... this is a theme explored in Prometheus.. it was Weylands Aim... And Serpents have been refereed to Dragons too in many cultures and Ridley has called the Xeno a Serpent and Dragon before..
So it fits... but this is if the Source was true.. but its not coincidence that many stuff they claimed has come to light... inc TWO Monsters, Shaws small role... Davids Agenda.. More than one David but not to expect a Army or Platoon was the word they used..
Lot of stuff that maybe is more than Coincidence.

@BigDave
you should definitely post your synopsis!! Would love to know what you think the movie will cover...
This description suggests it's a Prequel Trilogy starting with Prometheus to Alien Covenant to then a third and final film.
"Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”
Ha Ha... i will try to in the week... maybe i have a bit of a advantage though ;)
But a lot of my clues i would stick to what we can digest from Trailer, Props and Comments b Ridley and Cast..

Not Covenant related specifically, but NECA teased a look at their new Lambert Alien figure on Friday:
Predator: Badlands - coming November 7th, 2025
It looks like Fox are hosting another preview event for their upcomingredients 2017 blockbusters and Alien: Covenant footage will again be shown. However, I'm not sure if it will contain any "new" footage.
Predator: Badlands - coming November 7th, 2025
I wonder if we get any new leaks... and if they back up or go against the 4chan ones lol

JoBlo posted part 2 of their set visit. I haven't had a chance to run through it all and summarize it for an article yet, but here you go: http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/alien-covenant-set-visit-2-michael-fassbender-katherine-waterston-more-263

I have a hard time believing that they would use LV-426 as the Alien "homeworld". In fact, we are not even sure the planet in Alien Covenant is that homeworld either.
If so, we could have already got there in one movie and not three or four like Ridley is dreaming up..
For me it has always been, that LV-426 was simply either:
a) The resting place that an unfortunate engineer schlep and his juggernaut crashed into
b) Another testing facility like LV-223 that maybe/maybe not Weyland/Yutani knew about and sent colonists to set up Hadley's Hope(less)...
Hollywood can do whatever they want, but for the sake of realism and clarity, it doesn't make sense.
