Crazy theory about David

Interesting idea ;)

Its something dicused on here before.... indeed it was my Theory for Prometheus when the Trailers hit... i thought they was going for a Direct Link of the events to Alien.. and that David who would be like Pinocchio wants to be more Human.. (not to close however) something he experiments with on LV-223 lead him to become Part Synthetic and Organic...  (in part i wandered was the Trailer Bald buy David as we see from behind?  and certainly the Being standing over Shaw in the Trailer (which as the Engineer but looked to small to be a Giant).

David thus manages to Evolve himself... he also leads to other experiments on Shaw... playing God and for Davids ultimate playing God with Forbidden Tools and Knowledge not intended for Mankind to play with never mind Mankind's creation David...

While David Gifts himself a sense of Mortality from Evolving himself... in doing so he is now Part Machine/Organic and so the Experiment he conducted on Shaw to produce the Squid Baby Face Huger Back Fires.... he gets Face Hugged.... gets pissed off and decides to Pilot the Ship to Earth to Punish and Eradicate Mankind..... but he gets Chest Busted on his way and end up on LV-426 giving birth to the First Bio-Mechanical Xeno.

This theory was dead in the water once latter Trailers came out and showed the Bald Engineer looking up at the rising Pilot Chair and we could just see a body with no head and a Blond head..... which lead to discussions on here is this David or Vickers.

But for me at this point i knew it must be David (happened to Ash) and so my theory was WRONG lol....

Spaights draft that got leaked after the movie.. did show however the Engineer in that was on LV-426 and maybe hinting that the Space Jockey was that Engineer.... and so a event set decades before Alien was related to the Engineers after Mankind arrived searching for their Origins...

Prometheus Fire and Stone Comics however gave us a New Android... Elden... he was a Synthetic Construct.... part Synthetic and Organic.... he is infected with the Black Goo and transforms into another being....

This comic cant be taken as Canon however...

But now we have Alien Covenant... TWO Davids..... one is called Walter who is more advanced....

If Walter is a Synthetic Construct (a source i had from February 2015 who had seen the Paglen/Green Draft claimed some elements from Fire and Stone would be carried over to the new Movie)

So if Walter is a Synthetic Construct... David would be facing a Doppelganger who has a Gift that David does not.... if David had a Pinocchio Complex...  Then Walter is a Pinocchio  who in part has that wish that Pinocchio  wanted.

This makes for a interesting dynamic...

Then ultimately a Walter could then play foul to Davids plans and experiments or even a Face Hugger and the Result could indeed be a Organism that is Part Machine/Organic... a Bio-Mechanical Beast......

I thought this was possible after Ridleys comments a long time ago about how David would be back in a whole new way.... which lead me to think he would upgrade himself as my Original Theory prior to the latter Prometheus Trailers....  Or maybe there would be more advanced Davids who are in the movie that are like Elden from Fire and Stone Comics.

No soon as Ridley announced Fassbender plays TWO ROLES and one is a Doppelganger and the Synopsis seems to mention Synthetic David which we knew anyway... lead me to then think indeed there would be another David that is not Synthetic

Now many months latter we officially find out this Doppelganger is Walter a Covenant Crew Member then indeed i would Put Money on him being like Elden a Synthetic Construct..

Which means he could potentially be infected by the Black Goo or a Face Huger and i do think its quite likely this is how we may get the Bio-Mechanical Creature in the Poster.

So yes the theory you proposed is similar and indeed i think something like this i would HIGHLY ASSUME could be a 50/50 likely outcome for Walter...

As far as Shaw.... the same source said that she plays a small role, but a important one and that she TECHNICALLY does not die...  The source was always vague so as to not Spoon Feed Spoilers.

And so i think they could be hinting at that Shaw gets evolved too....    again i cant take the sources comments as 100%

I have gone from 30/70 to then 40/60 after seeing all the Covenant information and some sets etc..... to now 60/40 in favor that the source was correct as of the Drafts prior to John Logan doing re-writes.... i got to 60/40 after seeing those leaked Props and more so Wayne Haag's interview.

So as far as Shaw... being infected i think i am going to say its a 40% chance i feel this is or similar will happen....  if the Source was correct and the movie still using that idea... then surely she wont be Chest Busted as she would then.. well be dead... but Technically maybe not as she would live on in the resulting Xeno..

But i would think a Technically not dead... means she is either used constantly to produce something that leads to the Monsters in AC or that she is Evolved (Like Hammerpedes) to be some Hybrid Monster.

I think that Walter gets infected by a face hugger, or Shaw could become mutated into a creature that ends up creating the classic xenomorph, or David creates the xenomorph by experimenting on one of the creatures.

That is my personal opinion. ( I might make my own topic on how the classic xenomorph gets created.)

@OP:  I am very interested in seeing how David, Shaw, Walter, and the numerous colonists are handled in the new film.  You've made some intriguing suggestions and I hope that however many answers we are provided with, there are many more intriguing (and story-driving) questions asked.  

As for Shaw, I did not think that she is so popular among the fans and the members here. There are several posts about her fate and possible future role in the movies. (I myself would like to see her alive and active, too.)

Filmmakers of the new Alien movies should take into consideration the fact that she became so 'talked about' and not kill the character too early.
