"Alien 5" Taking Place BEFORE Alien 3? Think About It...

Hi folks!

New here.

I've seen alot of posts regarding the new "Alien 5" and the speculation that follows suit. Alot of talk about Alien 3 and Resurrection being hyper sleep dream sequences, mind implants, alternate universes etc.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but I'm gonna put in my two cents. Any possibility that the new "Alien 5" will simply take place right after Aliens, but BEFORE 3 and Res. take place?

That makes the most logical sense to me. Sigourney can still pass for the lean, youthful Ripley of Alien 3. She really hasn't aged that much. Michael Biehn has aged a bit... but we have the acid burns to mask that. An actress to portray a 10 year old Newt could be easy enough... Animatronic Bishop, anyone? And we could end this "5th" movie by explaining how that unusual Egg got onto the Sulaco dropship's landing gear. In fact, Alien 3's esoteric intro could be much more readily explained in this film's a build up.

And on top of that, there really isn't anything to negate another story taking place prior to Fiorina, "Fury", at least as far as Alien 3's scritpt is concerned.

Just some thoughts... would love to hear yours!

Sigourney has aged a lot though, she does look older. Still, it's possible. Nice theory!! Also, welcome to the site!

Sigourney does look good for her Age... and i guess with make up and good CGI overlay they could pull it off...

It would kind of make sense, but it would have to end with them being back on the Sulaco.

But i do think they are going the route that this movie follows Aliens and does not lead to Alien 3, reasons are that Blomkamp is not a massive fan of Alien 3 or Alien R

I think they would be better off having Alien 3 as a dream and show some flash backs of Ripley in Alien 3 then have her awaken from Cryo Sleep...

As for Alien Resurection that can remain Canon as they could easily have Ripley infected with Xeno DNA or Queen Chest Buster at the end of Alien 5 or Alien 6 but i doubt they would want to kill Ripley off.

How about David 8 waking Ripley,Hicks, Newt(?). David is accompanied by a Engineer(a friendly one)....Let the action begin!

(Or having Vickers wake them.....Even Peter Weyland....Synth versions of course.....I would think Weyland would synth himself and his daughter...the only way he and his daughter would live forever)
