Recently, I sat down to have another go at Prometheus (all the recent activity on the site producing all manner of new conjecture and thought placed me in the mood to revisit it for the eighth time). As I watched the ending portion of the film, I happened to notice something that, as far as I am aware, has not been addressed. It is nothing pivitol or mind-bending; however, I am curious about its implications.
During the moments in which the trilobite attacks and latches onto the Engineer, it is clearly visible that the Engineer has six toes. As he struggles with the creature, he places a foot upon the wall - revealing that his pedimorphology includes one more digit than is evidenced in human anatomy. That, for me, was extremely peculiar, and I have been wondering if this aspect has been brought forward at any other point in time. As always, you thoughts and conjecture are most welcome, even if you choose to keep them to yourself. :)

I could probably bore you with an ectremely long post ( I might do that later) but for now i think it would be far easier to leave you a wiki link on Tartarus. i think this is the direction P2 is taking. Giants with six toes does present some compelling evidence for this imo.

Just checked what you said and yes it does look like 6 toes, but then in a still from that scene i can see 4 digits minus big toe and other screens while having his make up applied it seems thus could be a crease in the Silicone Socks so to speak that he was wearing.
Looking at concept work i would conclude the Engineers are intended to have 5 digits like us...
But nice Spot mind ;)

Got me thinking about the person who claimed they had spoken to someone who had some leaks including seen concept work on Prometheus.. 2..
They said something about Paradise having a Facility that was Bio-Mechanical and had a Bio-Mechanical Humanoids that was attached to it like the Deacon Mural was....
Looking at Gigers Work we do have similar things, one its the Devil, in others its a Female....
Maybe the devine creator is indeed a Female Bio-Mechanical Bieng who all life and the essence of all Life Comes from? Maybe this is why the Engineer had a look of bewilderment about him when he saw Shaw?
If we try and throw in Greek Myth whith what that person said and how Gigers work shows similar... then we can come up with Gaia or Mother Earth... who in Greek works is the Alpha and what all things come from.... including the Universe.
She is mother to the Titans....
So maybe we have some being that represents Gaia, who created the Titans, who created lesser Gods (Engineers) who plaid a part in the creation of Mankind witht he help of one of the Titans Prometheus, and the bottom of this order of creation is David.
Maybe losely this could fit... Giger does have a lot of Art Work related to this...
could this or similar be Gaia?

But the person only said a Bio-Mechanical looking being connected to a Facility.... they did not say it looked Male, Female or something completely Alien.
