Can we just get Star Wars out of the way please

I’m starting to wonder if history may be repeating itself. I hope so anyway.

Looking back on when Star Wars was released, this set in motion some serious interest in Sci fi movies. The rest you could say is history. But, not long after came Alien. Something aimed at the adult market that helped to establish Sci fi as a tour de force.

So maybe, here we are again. A new generation of Star Wars fan is about to be created with the release of a new film and some good old wholesome family entertainment I know I was disappointed on the face of it to see Prometheus 2 looking like it was going to be put on the back burner, but maybe that is not such a bad thing after all. Would Alien have been as big a hit as it was without Star Wars being unleashed first?

The way I see it, lets get Star Wars out of the way and then hopefully when everyone has bought the action figures we can settle down to some more serious business with Prometheus 2.
