Noway dude, the 2nd one is and always will be the best Alien movie! The first one is very very good, but Aliens is superior to the first one.

MemberOvomorphApr-11-2014 9:52 AMI love Aliens, it's one of the best sequels ever made, but it has essentially the same plot of Alien (just add marines, multiple xenos and substitute Jonesy with Newt) and it even has the same 4th act (stowaway alien, later blasted out the airlock). Aesthetically and in sheer terror Alien is the best and always will be. Cameron did a great job but he also deminished the horror of the creature by reducing it to a bug, rendering it earth-bound as far as its biology was concerned. It was supposed to be invincible, not mowed down by machine gun fire. The Queen was marvelous and was logical but the Alien was never supposed to make too much sense as a surreal creation.
