This was a screenplay that I wrote in June 2013 for Fox Studios prior to their acquisition of Jack Paglen. My screenplay was rejected by the studio since I am not repped by an Agent. I have no use for this script and neither does 20th Century Fox, so since they deemed it as an unsolicited Fan-Based material. Then I am sharing it with other fans of the film Prometheus without any discrepancy or interest, since my storyline was complimentary to sci-fi author Robert A. Heileins Starship Trooper and Beyond the Horizon within Both Ridley Scotts Alien and James Camerons Avatar.

MOVIE TITLE: PROMETHEUS 2 : NEW HORIZONS

SCREENWRITER: Abel Santiago

LOGLINE: Evolution is an unexpected journey that leads into an undiscovered paradise and wherever Life is found, the exploration will become our new horizons.

SYNOPSIS:

In accordance to the first film, Elizabeth Shaw message was dated 7 days after her departure from LV-223. I have inferred that in my script that she was found by this message in a distant Galaxy, as she made attempt to find the Engineers home planet. However, it is human nature that got the best of her as she is found near death from famine or deprivations since she was on board an unfamiliar spacecraft that is not from Earth. The USS Nautilus VI will find the Engineers spacecraft and within it will be Elizabeth Shaw in stasis. Weyland Corporation will lead this mission and issue a new David model for the crew on board.

Victor Weyland is the successor to the company and his only desires is to merge the corporation with the Yutani Company. A second spacecraft known as the USS Paradise has been the focus of this merger and it has since landed on LV-223. However, unannounced to the crew on board the Nautilus VI, the Paradise is on it second recovery mission. The Yutani/Weyland merger will lead into a new horizon of extra-terrestrial experimentation on board the Nautilus VI. Elizabeth Shaws signature message was also intercepted by the United States Colonial Marine Corp.

Elizabeth Shaw will awaken from stasis, but will be held against her will, as Victor Weyland will attempt to silence all that she knows. They have sent a Military Colonel named Scott Jacobs whom will fly under covers to portray the Captain of the USS Nautilus VI. Elizabeth Shaw will attempt to make her escape from Victor Weylands control. She will run into Scott Jacobs, whom to her appears to look much like her ex-boyfriend Dr. Charlie Holloway. However, Scott Jacobs will have all the information he needs to commandeer control and claim full authority on behalf of the Colonial Marine Corp. since Weyland Corporation has failed to mention that a survivor has been rescued.

The Crew on board the USS Paradise believes they are on a recovery mission on LV-223, but Weyland Corporation continues to mislead their mission objectives. They are given the new mission by Scott Jacobs to deploy and destroy the Engineers underground layer on LV-223. The USS Paradise will suffer casualties, but are written into the storyline as a Red Herring plot device to which will take the focus away from what is transpiring on board the USS Nautilus VI. It is written this way since the storyline will transition, as Elizabeth Shaw continues her escape after she fully recovers as she ascends into the Engineers home planet.

An outbreak of aliens will develop as the scientist on board the Nautilus VI becomes infected. The old David will become a ghost in the machine, as the new David learns from his mistakes. Acting on orders of Elizabeth Shaw, Scott Jacobs activates the old David so he can have answers to what transpired with Prometheus on LV-223. The interaction of the two David will debatable, as we will not really know if one is becoming more like the other or the other is simply taken control. David will continue into his experimentation and develop the first Alien Queen from Elizabeth Shaws DNA.

Elizabeth Shaw will meet the Engineer within their home planet and find the truth oif a far greater existence between the assumed gods and the creation of man. The Engineers purpose for creation of both species was to study our interactions with the alien species. However, the alien species never evolved into a race on LV-223, leaving the Earth to live as the creation. The Engineers study their creations as a preparation to a greater battle, as the one they fight have similar traits to both Humans and Xenomorph. I have developed the Engineers character into an Apex Predator like figure, whom although seek war they are a peaceful and ritualistic type of extra-terrestrial life. Thus far the character of Elizabeth Shaw, will not be seen as an archetypical heroine like her predecessor Ellen Ripley.

However, she will be seen as the Threshold Guardian who under conflicts raises her arms up into the air, not in surrender but to intercede into the chaos from inflicting those around her. The Nautilus VI will land on the Engineershome planet to search for Elizabeth Shaw. However, David will release the Queen and it shall destroy the Engineers within their underground layer. Scott Jacobs will find Elizabeth Shaw and bring her to safety before the Queen finds Dr.Shaw and kills her. Yuriko Li, who is Yutani Shiros’ android bodyguard after David makes an attempt to escape LV-821, destroys David. Yuriko Li also dies in the fight but will resume as a voice navigation system on board the USS Nautilus, which is the precursor to M-U-T-H-U-R 6000 computer system.

The Nautilus Crew encounters a battle with the Engineers, while the Xenomorph males attack the underground layer. Elizabeth Shaw attempts to offer sovereignty to the Engineer Colony, after the Xenomorph breech the underground dwelling. Elizabeth Shaw destroys the Xenomorph Queen, who makes her first appearance after being created by David. The Nautilus has taken the Engineer Colony as refugees in an effort to find a new home for the survivors. Elizabeth Shaw will resume in custody of Scott Jacobs and the United Stated Colonial Marine Corp. Victor Weyland will be left on the planet surface to suffer into his consequences, as a Xenomorph face hugger makes its way towards him, continuing the story into a second sequel.

Hi i had a quick read and i will have a full read soon.

But i have to say nice work and very detailed, i can however see why Fox may not had wanted to use it, while your draft does offer some good ideas that can be used by Fox, i feel your draft is a bit more like a follow up to Spaights, in that it may be to Xeno orientated and also may be too much on going back to LV 223.

I feel that Fox and Ridley are trying to go further away from the Xeno and Alien as far as Paradise will go, and it will feature more on David and Shaw and the Engineers Homeworld. However there is no reason why parts of your drafts ideas can not be included as a side plot for Paradise and then a part 3 would follow a mission to LV 223 where a lot of your ideas could really work.

I have been working on a draft myself i have not worked on it for ages, and mine does have a side plot too that takes up a bit of the movie so the start would be about what happens from Weyland Company after no contact with Prometheus, and also some mention of Yutani. While it also goes a little bit to David and Shaw with more Shaw Dreams, and even David Flash backs to when he was born. These plots go back and forth.

Until David and Shaw reach Paradise then we leave the Weyland story and focus on what Shaw and David find and have some flash backs to Engineers past but this area i had many ideas that i got in a puddle with because i just could not figure which way to go.

The latter part of the draft goes back to Weyland Industries and leads to clues as to them sending a mission to LV 223....... which is where my ideas for Part 3 go.

As that will finish off what David and Shaw find and have them head back to LV 223 but by time they get there a mission to LV 223 is already underway and we see more Xeno related plot and at the end LV 223 is destroyed, Weyland Industries is in trouble and they are forced to merge...

Then i have a after credit scene, that links to Alien (sorry no Space Jockey explanation) instead we see a board meeting with Weyland Yutani where they show that all is not lost and that they intend to pursue with a mission to LV 426 where we will see them talk about how they have got the Nostramo that is due in that area, and while it is docking at a space station they have placed Science Officer on board who will covertly lead a mission to obtain a Sample.

Thanks for the reply, BigDave. I am grateful for your response and I will be looking forward to your full review, commentary and opinion, but please continue reading the screenplay since there's more that needs to be discussed...

However, the reason for having my screenplay rejected by FOX was due to my absentee Agent. I've been writing for 10 years and have not been able to acquire formal representations. In accordance to my storyline, I wanted to avoid all ties to the Alien franchise, while continuing the Prometheus story into a trilogy as requested by Ridley Scott and 20th Century Fox Studios.

My story would have or not gone into LV 426 by the time of the second sequel, since by the ending of my film-script Elizabeth Shaw seeks to find a new home for the Engineer refugees after her discovery of their Homeworld. The starship is called USS: Nautilus to which will become the decommission vessel for the Nostromos and the others. In this story, a new issued model of David is also the antagonist who continues the experiments where David8 left off. David9 will make no mistakes as he formulates an experiment with Elizabeth Shaw's DNA to create the Xenomorph Queen.

In continuing this story, I felt that all other screenwriter might have left off the human element of the storyline while focusing his or her attention towards Elizabeth Shaw's search for the homeplanet. I have called my first Act, the awakening because I felt that Elizabeth Shaw might have endured health issues when traveling the depth of space on an alien spacecraft. This is where David8 sends the distress signal to Weyland Corporation. Elizabeth Shaw's health will be the opening for the backstory while she recuperates. In this film-script, Elizabeth Shaw is more agile and stronger, since her DNA is altered by the biosymbio DNA. In fact it was a Xenomorphic DNA strand to which she acquired during her accidental childbirth and assimilated to her DNA during her stasis within the Engineers' spacecraft.

During her preeminent discovery the Weyland Corporation has begun its corporate merger with the Yutani Corporation, as depicted within the Alien Franchise. The mission will be lead by Victor Weyland, the son of the elder Weyland and husband to Meredith Vickers. He is a desperate man in search for his wife and father, as he is in pursuit to find immediate answers. Victor Weyland has sent a convoy onto LV-223 lead by the Crew of the Starship: Paradise. The idea of a second starship within Shaw's continuing mission was so we will not forget what transpired to the Prometheus, while Elizabeth Shaw awakens to pursue into the Engineers Homeworld.

In my opinion, the Engineers were not Gods but a species of APEX-Predators whom through experimentations developed the human race on Earth, as well as made efforts to create a secondary race that failed to evolve on LV-223. Their attempts were to have each species fight one another's planet, so they could learn from our mistakes. A visual example the dead engineer with the giant telescope that appeared on the film Alien. To me the Engineers were like the Aztecs, which believed in sacrificial rituals for a greater cause. The Engineers were a race of Biosymbiotic Sapiens that drink their own experiments to alter their own DNA strand just to create a new evolutionary species on uninhabited planets. Who they Engineers really fighting against will be an unmentioned teaser to the AVP films, since the engineers will also have the same laserscopic weapons as the Predators. Therefore, New Horizons' storyline was written as a direct continuation of the Prometheus film and a precursor to both the Alien and AVP film franchises.

During my initial writing I had to rename the first film as, Prometheus: Genesis, so that I could understand the origin of the story. My intent was to capture the fictional universe within this film’s setting and timeline. I wanted to bring back the new characters in a way that they will not be forgotten, as well as introduce some of the old elements of the Alien franchise without making direct implications to any of films series that follow.

Wow

Someone who actually wrote a
Script for prometheus and sub
Mitted it to fox.

What an honour to speak to you
Sir. I will read the script fully
When time permits.

You do however present me with
An unique opportunity that I
Simply cannot pass up.

I have a question for you.

If its ok would you consider the
Following:

You state that you were asked to
Write a script for 3 movies.

Question 1

 Were
you  asked to have no ties with the
alien franchise or was that your
own idea ?

Why do I ask this? A script from
Jon spaihts surfaced and was later
Confirmed to be genuine by
Spaihts. This script showed a
Movie that was full of stuff from
The alien universe. Xenomorpha
Eggs facehuggers etc. Then later
An interview with spaihts he indicated
That  ridley was very unhappy with
The way things went and prometheus
Was not exactly what ridley wanted.

Question 2

What do you make of this ?? Do you think that veering away from was what
Ridley wanted and that the introduction
Of lindeloff was ridleys idea. ? Did they
Ask tou to veer away from the alien
Franchise.

Question 3

How do you think alien and prometheus connects with each other or do you think they don't ?? Why the difference
In space jockey and engineer size why
The difference in ships size ?

If you cannot answer then that's ok
But I would love to have your opinion
On the above.

Thank you and welcome.

Oduodu, I was never asked or contracted by FOX to write this film or provide any insight on a second sequel. I wrote this script in 4 weeks during the time of their search for a screenwriter and regretfully the same day that I concluded my screenplay, was also the same day they announced that they were acquiring Jack Paglen to write the screenplay. However, the Executives at Fox were within their Rights when they dismiss my screenplay since I am not repped by an Agent.

I’ll try to answer your questions as best as possible, but just remember that I am only a fan of the film;

Question 1.

Yes, I received a letterhead from Fox with a subject line that read, “PROMETHEUS/Unauthorized Use of Twentieth Century Fox’s Intellectual Property and Unsolicited Submission” The letter body was then signed by the Vice President of Legal Affairs, Tom Kennedy. –What was mentioned cannot be disclosed. Part2. I believe Jon Spaihts’ screenplay was written first, but it did not satisfy Ridley Scott’s vision. I haven’t read the screenplay but from what everyone is saying, it was a direct prequel to the Alien Film. However, I believe that once Damon Lindelof took over as a screenwriter that he created a character that neither Fox or Ridley Scott understood. I feel Ridley Scott wanted to interpret the origin of the Xenomorph, but instead was given a film that excludes all ties to the Alien film and directs the audience attention towards a new extra-terrestrial race known as the Engineers.

Question 2.

The concept of the stranded alien on LV-426 was taken from a scene from the first Alien film. To whether who (Lindelof or Scott) created the characters of the Engineers is not the question any more, since we have already learned of who they are. I have been writing Sci-Fi for over 10 years and have developed some unique alien characters, so I felt that I could offer a creative interpretation from where we last understood the Engineers. However, I felt that the issue of the Engineers as Gods is irrelevant to any Science Fiction writer, since there must be a science behind the explanation of the unknown.

Question 3.

Once, I heard that Fox Studios and Ridley Scott were looking for a screenwriter to write Prometheus 2 : Paradise, I knew the film would be doomed from the start and would encounter similar issues as Spaihts and Lindelof screenplays. I felt it was my duty to intervene since I did not want them to veer into a direct approach of finding the Engineers’ Homeplanet. I believe what they created is one of the same film, Prometheus is a prequel to the Alien Franchise. However, I continue to believe that the script would lose all aspect of the human characteristic of the film, if we do not focus on the species on Earth before moving forward.

These are scene elements that are crucial for us to understand the film Prometheus, elements that include Elizabeth Shaw awakening from stasis on an alien spacecraft and the Corporate conspiracy that sent the Prometheus crew on their undisclosed mission, as well as the Engineers self inflicted bio-degradation and the DNA altercation that transpired in the opening scene, which allowed us to believe in the creation of a new evolutionary species. In my interpretive, I see the Engineers as a superior species, which social structures is within their own hierarchy as a race and individual colony of their species. I see them as a ritualistic society that posses a higher understanding of science, but are not preempted on having a stable inhabitant or Homeplanet.

The Engineers’ mission was to colonize an existing planet through experimental training, as they unleash a new biological species, as they wait for their future race to study them. Racial Expansion is a consequence that they must undergo for the benefit of their experiments while preparing for war against a presumed inferior race. To why the ships are larger in size, the Engineers’ colonize, study and then attack. What we saw in the film Alien was one of many Homeplanets or interstellar observation outposts. Elizabeth Shaw understood that the Engineers had created our species but were also planning to destroy. LV-223, would have been Earth’s demise but never was able to evolve on LV-223. We found out that the Engineers had died and there was one last survivor.

Should we conclude their experiments as a Xenomorph race, I am afraid not. We must continue believing that the experiments would have evolved into a higher race with intelligence and technology that would have been able to reach Earth and destroy or species… OR… An alternate explanation would be that the Engineers, were a race like Marvel’s Green-Goblin who would soon launch their biological Xenomorph eggs from LV-223 and destroyed our race through biological terror, within a film like Invasion of the Body Snatcher or Slithers that would take away from the theme of space exploration.

Thank you for your reply.

Finally

What do you personally think
Of prometheus as a finall product ?

What you have changed ?

There was 2 confirmed scripts:

The one was from jon spaihts and
The other from damon lindeloff.

If you read these two scriots you
Notice that:

1

The engineers  both 15 feet
Tallin both .

2

A scene like where the engineer fell
And were decapitated was a
Deliberate act of suicide in spaihts
Draft because he got
InFected and wanted to stop the
Spread so this scene was cut and
Shot out of order and its purpose
Changed or left unexplained.
Another example is the storm
That chases the crew back to
The ship. In spaihts draft the
Storm is a result of the temperature
Gradient on the day night line
On lv 223. In the movie it just
Seems to be random act that
Happened at presisely the wrong
Time.

All of this points to the movie having
Scenes being Shot out of order to purposefully Create confusion and so that things simply cannot Be
answered logically.

Would you agree with this statement ?

Thank you and once again welcome .

One of the greatest mysteries of our universe is that we really don't know what is out there... Storytelling is similiar to science, where we must start with a hypothesis and try to prove and disprove our theory. Both Spaihts and Lingelof collaborated on this script, because the final product had creative details from screenwriters. The final product was a well thought out movie, which had mixed reviews from fans who were expecting a similar film as the Alien franchise. It is now upto Jack Paglen, who was fortunate to be given the job as the next screenwriter. He must not try to correct the past but try to influence the future of this story by offering his own creative attributes. He must grasp these characters and tryo to make them his own, as I did within my interpretive. The key is to learn from both franchises and attempt to make something great out them for the audience to enjoy. Who knows if Ellen Ripley might one day meet Elizabeth Shaw in the next Alien film, if I had control of the story then I would have continued Elizabeth Shaw theory and pursued Ellen Ripley DNA to fend off the Xenomorph and the Engineers  from reaching Earth.

My Titles;

- Prometheus 1 : Genesis

- Prometheus 2 : New Horizons

- Prometheus 3 : Outer Limts

- Alien 5 : Prometheus Evolution

Oduodu, I believe your answers are in the title; If Ridley Scott wanted to film an Alien prequel then he would of leaned towards Jon Spaihts screenplay. However, I feel he did not vision for the story to be told in one movie, he wanted at least a trilogy. A direct prequel to the Alien franchise would have taken us back to LV-426 and the events that transpired with the human colony.

To understand the film Prometheus, you must understand who Prometheus was in Greek Mythology. He was a Titan who created man out of clay and stole the fire from Zeus to give it to humans so they could progress into civilization. The Engineers simply believed in the transgression of races, they created the Xenomorphs and humans. It is why I gave the first film the subtitle Genesis, because it had a lot of unexplained questions and told the story of creation. Think of the film Prometheus like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, you won't understand the story if you just watched one film, but if you watched all three simultaneously then it explains a better picture.

The only connection between Alien and Prometheus is the evolution of the Xenomorph, from its inventors to its threats against the human race. Prometheus was written two years before Ellen Ripley's birth and under 30 years before the time of her introduction into the Alien film. To understand how the difference between the two films is as easy as identifying the archetypes, because the protagonists are polar opposites. Ellen Ripley was a Heroine, a strong woman with a fight, while Elizabeth Shaw was more of a Guardian, a graceful woman with apprehension. Prometheus is a story on its own that foretells the origin of the Xenomoprh and implicates a new antagonist. If Prometheus is to explain what transpired on LV-426 then it won't be until the third film is released.

We will definitely have to wait until we see what Jack Paglen and Ridley Scott have planned for Prometheus 2 : Paradise.

This is the beauty of Prometheus and how the changes have allowed for a much deeper story than Spaights, Spaights draft did lean more to the Xeno being a Weapon they created and they created many varieties.

The changes now open the door more and can allow any number of explanations for the Xeno origins and its connection, the movie is really open.  The problem with following the Engineers more in depth and that they played a hand in our creation and indeed many others in the Galaxy is the Scope of such a story is massive and makes it more difficult to do it any justice.

We cant be sure what way this movie would go, if indeed Ridley wanted more of a Spaights style story but Fox wanted changes, they did say the idea was to step away further from Alien and the toning down of Xeno Elements from Spaights to Lindeloffs drafts would to me, mean that they would be going further from Xeno related creations that inc Deacon etc.

However if Fox and Ridley agree that many fans was disappointed about the lack of Xeno connections in Prometheus and the casual fan had no idea what the movie was or did not get the connection simply because the Alien Xeno aspect was diluted down.  Then maybe they could do a U-Turn in Paradise and give us a movie that ties in with these Xeno Organisms.

To be fair a PROPER PREQUEL would have been done more easy if we looked at what we knew from Alien and that was not that the Space Jockey was a race who created Mankind etc,  They could have gone that they was Humanoid looking still but simply had it as a Alien Race who was in some Ancient War, and he ended up on LV 426.

As soon as they brought out the (they created us) Card and then wanted to destroy us and then maybe by upgrading us to create something new....  Then you open up a whole new deep story that is not as simple to tell or do justice and we are left with more Ambiguity.

And i think its this aspect that Fox wants to explore more,  and maybe connect why the movie was called Prometheus, and why the connections to Ancient Cultures and Belief Systems.

How they make that connection, well thats a hard one as there is so many ways they could go....

I kind of had the idea and was pushed down the route that the Prometheus is the opening Scene, and by virtue of deleting the Elders i would assume that the Engineers would be creations created by the Elders just as mankind created David 8.   And that at some point maybe one of the Elders or even a fraction of Engineers then decided to steal the Fire of the Gods to create mankind, but ultimately they got burnt.

In my idea of a draft i fit in many ideas relating to Ancient Culture and History inc the Bible but not literally...

My ideas the Engineers broke into fractions, they was in our system on Mining duty and so tied in a lot with the Annunaki tales.   My ideas had it that Mars and another planet was where these Engineers was doing their work and mining etc.

But they was a war and rebellion and somehow Mars got destroyed and another planet too that became the Asteroid Belt.  I was left with two ideas... for Mars.

Did they end up nuking the place...? or did they end up using some Bio Weapon to eradicate the life on Mars but that got out of hand and that they had no choice but to Nuke Mars to wipe out this Bio Weapon.

Then the Engineers decided to seed Earth and start again,  and at some latter point the War broke out again and this time the a fraction set up a base on LV 223 to watch over us.  And they wiped out the Engineers that visited Earth over the years.

My idea would be to explain events like the extinction of the Dinosaurs being caused by the Engineers to wipe out and start again life that posed a threat to their creation Mankind.

It would suggest the great flood was used to wipe out a Ancient culture of hybrids or creation of the Engineers and resulted in the destruction of Atlantis, and also the Noahs flood (but the whole world not flooded as per bible).

So these Engineers would have had their hand in creating and destroying over and over, but all this stopped when they had start to dabble with another method of destruction the Xeno and thats why we never heard off the Engineers again.

But while these are my ideas, its hard for me to decide in depth how to flash them out etc, so my draft never got done as i just could not finalise which way i go with the Engineer connection etc.

But in a nutshell it would have them as having rival factions and we would see the result of creation rebel against creator, in which again is handed down to seeing us being the creation of a creation who rebel against our creators and ultimately we can see that our creations the Androids show signs to potentially rebel against us.

I would had made some connections to the different ancient cultures, in that they all have one common origin and that its the case of interpretation and stories that are passed on and down that lead to the differences.   And that different things in the past such as extinctions was all caused by the Engineers as they simply reset the experiments but learn of past mistakes that caused the destruction of Mars and creation of the Asteroid Belt etc.

The other parts such as LV 223 and Weyland - Yutani was straight forwards....

But so would had been a story about the Xeno and Space Jockey had they not been given the creationists plot.

I understand your idea, but your story would take place on Earth and not LV-223 or in outer space. I believe you must continue analyzing a theory from the opening scene and create your own hypothesis on what is transpiring between the Engineer, the unhibatited planet and the Black Goo. You will notice that in this scene the Engineer drinks the black goo and falls into the ocean, where his DNA continues to flourish, the rest of the story makes reference to the creation of humans. it later leads into the creation of the Xenomorphs on LV-223, then David8 pursuit to understand why he has been created. Its been a while since I last saw the movie and can't remember correctly, but did David8 create the Xenomporh or did the Xenomporh appear after the cocoon scene within the cave. So I must ask, Would there have been a Xenomorph without the influence of David8 when he infected Charlie Holloway or were the cocoon eggs experiments conducted by the Engineers different.

In my observation, they were different species awaiting to spread throughout the planet LV-223. However, David8 simply chose the Biotransmutation route without the Engineers DNA encoding. While 2000 years ago, the Engineers were planning to send the cocoon slithers to reproduce into our own DNA, perhaps the reason why the crewmember became disfigured and appeared to have been mutiatng into a different species after they left the cave. Therefore, David8 found a way to isolate the creation into a single DNA strand, when he stated "Big things have small beginnings." As to why "Humanity is just a bridge" It could and would explain the difference between the Engineers species and the one created by David, because like a brdge they can walk amongst the humans.

David was not malfunctioning, he just questioned how it was to be human. Similar to Issac Asimov' three laws of robotic, David was not programmed with preexisiting configuration, he was allowed to gain intelligence through learning and observation, which lead to question his own creation.

Well the Alien series seems to show us the Xeno has been around a long time before 2094, and Ridley had said the Space Jockey incident occuried within a few hundred years of the LV 223 outbreak and by that i assume the one some 2000 years ago.

But Lindeloff had hinted that what we see in Prometheus is connected to the Xeno, and he kind of hints at a Hammerpede connection... But that cant be as well that means the Xeno came about after 2094.....

It does not mean however the contamination of those native worms with the Goo is the first time this had happened in last few days of 2093.

As far as the Xeno or its related Organism, all hints seem to show they are at very least more than 2000 years old and maybe much much older.  What the connection is and how is well something hopefully we would find out before Ridley has finished.

But i think LV 223 is just a place these Engineers conduct experiments on some Xeno related organism or DNA

BigDave You are probably right, the Xenomorphs could have existed for 2000 years or more. The human race has been around for about 6000 years, evolving over time to create the species we are today. We conclude this observation through theory, since in the film we learn of the carbon dating is 2000 years for the dead Engineer. To what the connection between the Engineer and the Xeno eggs might be is based on conclusion that we are following the story of a Creator of interplanetary species.

To what Lindelof implicates is irrelevent now as we look forward into Prometheus 2 : Paradise. Since, Lindelof decided to walk away from the story that he helped write with Jon Spaihts and Ridley Scott. What follow is based on Ridley Scott interpretive as the story must now conclude with Jack Paglan at the writing helm. However, they might bring something different, fresh or new to the overall story, similar to what I have done with my version of the film.

Yes in a way we can only accept what is shown on screen, and it does not matter how many clues Ridley has put regarding the Engineers or Xeno or LV 426 or LV 223, if they show us different on screen then thats what we have to accept so for instance Ridley hinted the Space Jockey had been victim to his own Cargo on LV 426 well they could in future movies actually show us how the Space Jockey met his fate and if they show on screen he was landing ontop of a undergound Egg Chamber than if thats whats shown in future movie then that would have to be accepted as Canon.

Like the frail Elder Engineers, if Ridley redesigns them for Paradise so the Elders do not look any older than the Engineers, then its this depiction we have to accept as canon and not the deleted scene.

Which basically means everything is still open for debate and ambigious.

We surely cant say for sure how old the Xeno is, LV 223 shows us clues as we have the Mural and Frescos and in the Frescos there is a Alien Creature that is shown next to a Engineer and again holding a Xeno Egg.  And the Mural shows us a Face Huger and Deacon and they do look a little different to the Alien Face Huger and Prometheus Deacon.

But there must be a connection and these Murals and Frescos are at the very earliest 2000+ years old but just because they date the Engineers dead bodies to 0AD there is no way of knowing how many years the Fresco and Mural have been around before they met their deaths, we would have to say they never just finished them days or weeks before but we simply cant say for how long that Mural had been there and also for how long they had the connection with the Xeno or its Ancestor..

The only other thing to consider is if the Mural and Fresco are instead actually a Prophecy showing a event that is to come.  Otherwise we can only tell the Xeno or related Organism that the Xeno either comes from or predates as been known to the Engineers for thousands of years.

As far as the opening Scene goes, again to me this does not simply show the creation of Mankind, to me it shows that its via interference of the Engineers via Sacrificial Scene to seed their Genetic Code, that brought about the spark that allowed basic single celled organism to start to evolve into complex life.

The movie seems to indicate these Engineers visited mankind over and over, and Ridley said they had came to Earth many times to teach and evolve us.

Ridley also states this scene does not have to be on Earth, but if we assume it is then it must been set many millions of years ago so would have to be at latest 500 Million years ago. But most likely if its showing Earth then its trying to maybe suggest the Sacrificial scene occurred between the Proterozoic Era and Cambrian Era.

Where as Spaights draft seemed to show us the Sacrificial scene occurred in the Paleolithic Era in which the Engineers seeding cause there DNA to Evolve Early Hominid or Primate.

How long ago that Scene was set is open to debate because evidence keeps being found that makes it hard to actually calculate from where Man Evolved in real life i.e which actual branch of Hominds did we come from, and they keep finding Human Remains that go older and older than what science first believed.

scenarist, i haven't read your script as yet, but you can find mine here: http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/samuelammons/1328635/ oduodu anyone can get a letter from fox or any other studio. they get thousands of unsolicited proposals for movies every year. they get thrown away and a form letter is sent, because if they read it and their movie resembles your screenplay, they can be sued.

here is some tips i wish someone had told me when i started writing: 1)read. reading published works can help you with your own. character development, story structure, etc. 2) write. writing is like playing a musical instrument, the more you practice, the better you get. 3) have someone read your work, that will give you an HONEST opinion. it doesn't help you to become better if the person reading your stuff lies to you.  4) get your work out there. through publications, contests, etc. when approaching an agent, it's better if they can see you've already got some experience under your belt and have something you can put on a resume. when you're ready, you can find an agent here: https://www.wgaeast.org/ just click on Resources and Agent & Agencies. you can get a list. depending if you live east of the mississippi river or west of it. but before submitting ANYTHING to anyone, write a query letter to them, and ask for a list of their SUBMISSION GUIDELINES. most of the publications, or contests i know of are online now. such as: http://www.analogsf.com/information/submissions.shtml i still have a few letters, before the internet, when i first started, and there was more publications out there, where in the submission guidelines for scifi and fantasy they stated they didn't want ANY stories about boy wizards in wizards school. flash to now, and JK Rowlings has one of the most successful film franchises in history. so there are rules, but there are exceptions. one of those rules is not to write a sequel to a movie. the studio already has writers on payroll for that, and they have an idea of where they want their movie to go because they have information you don't. but like i said, there are exceptions. very rare though.

i'll give your screenplay a read scenarist, and let you know what i think. i'll hope you do the same.

good luck to both of you.
