Ancient Engineer Gods on Paradise in Prometheus 2?

There had better be some answers. Film-makers fail to comprehend the fact that people want answers. For some reason, they think we want more questions. No! Bad screenwriters! Go to your room!

God, that's beautiful! I truly hope to see something along those lines. Agreed that Paradise has already or will be devastated by Xeno-type creatures. Perhaps even by the goo Shaw and David may or may not be carrying. (Would kill to see a few original Xenos, maybe a mature Deacon.) That piece is f***ing brilliant! Thanks for sharing!

Now thats what I am talking about huge statues, giant temples, pyramids and yes xeno statues that are so strange and weird. Thats Paradise btw I am glad that matrix garbage isn't popping up any time soon get rid of it, not original just old. I have read somewhere that some Alien dorks think that this franchise isnt original....Yeah right!

Poseidon or Enki would work as maybe a father of mankind and other worlds because of water is needed for life.

I have read somewhere that some ancient astronauts dorks think that they theory is so original, but the truth is that it was stolen from the writings of Howard Phillips Lovecraft.

Back to topic Yes!!! I want a very Gigeresque looking God figure, Something more powerful and frightening than the Engineers. But even if that does not happen I will not feel disappointed, because without doubt Ridley Scott has a very good eye to choose the designs.

@Chris I’d love to see the engineer’s homeworld being overrun by xenomorphs; that Shaw and David arrive in a devastated no man’s land and that it has lots of references and clues about the series written all over it. Btw, good job on the Godzilla-forum. Ånnunaki50 Matrix garbage? That film had some of the most original storylines ever so I don’t think it’s qualified as a heap of dung. But I DO agree that it wouldn’t fit in this universe. Alien dorks…no comment. Without the alien-fanbase there wouldn’t be a Prometheus-movie. Prometheus isn’t original. What is so special about this movie that we haven’t already seen in others?

In a recent press conference for Ridley's upcoming film The Counselor, Ridley was asked on the status of Prometheus 2, he said "...we're writing Prometheus right now, Prometheus 2." So repeating what Noomi said a while back but it's from Ridley's mouth at least.

I think Paradise will be quite similar to earth, but possibly a little post apocalyptic. I think it would be cool if there were monuments and various structures that give a nod to possible earth influences such as a ‘Xeno of Liberty’ or a ‘Leaning Tower of Deacon’.

Chris Most definitely a hierachy and definitely a very powerful god liike being will be aware of happenings on the planet. But wil it reveal itself to david and shaw and for what reason ? If paradise is now hell then maybe this entity maybe like q in star trek could possibly assist shaw and david purely out " because I can and I want to show my power" Main thing; what will be the motivation of this entity becaise this will decide what the hierarchy looks like .

I really dont mean dorks as in all of you guys but there are people that get so offended by any harsh comment or criticism or opinion. No AA theory wasnt started because of HP Lovecraft thats just you lashing out because of my Alien dork comment. Hey Anu, I can't speak for Necronom4, but I think it shows some class to come back and acknowledge when you may be 'out of line.' It is your conscience which sets you apart from the pack there. @Necronom- i hope you know we love ya man!! I make a debate out of anything and everything; my wife hates it. I need to remember that not everyone enjoys 'getting it on' like this. I too love this movie a scary amount and may have been guilty of stepping on some toes in the past. Please realize this is a lack of tact on my part, and not a commentary on the validity of your points. (I just really love to debate!!) I definitely enjoy your threads man- whether or not i agree is irrelevant. I think we are all just jonesing for some news.

Glad you like it. :) As for the topic, I think seeing an Engineer homeworld overrun by Xenomorphs would be incredible, but I expect if we can gauge the sequel to be anything like the first, then I'd say [i]Paradise[/i] will be a forgotten wasteland - leaving being monuments and records of the Engineer's existence there. When I saw this piece of artwork, I immediately thought of an ancient monument... that and the Alien Queen's head crest. I think Shaw and David (if they make it to "Paradise") will encounter a barren world, once a "Paradise", sure, until the Xenomorph infestation broke loose - forcing the Engineers to re-locate. Either that or they discover that indeed the Xenomorphs were on the same level as their "Gods", and like Biblical scripture describes the war between Heaven and Hell, the same fate fell upon the Engineer races and the Xenomorphs. Don't want to get too ahead of myself, since my imagination can run wild, and it's far too late to be doing so, hahaha. @Anunnaki50 - I appreciate you acknowledging your actions, but perhaps in the future, read over your post prior to hitting the "ADD REPLY" button, and think if what you're posting could be interpreted as offensive or not. But I'm happy to see no harm was done and everyone's remaining on good terms. :) But okay, back on topic - what do you [i]Alien Dorks[/i] think of my ideas? ;) Hahaha

I dont own any smartphone (I have a dumbphone) so I sit in front of my PC its all I got for now. I really dont want to hurt anyone because otherwise I couldnt talk about this awesome movie and all the people I know hate talking about it so this place is my escape.

Don't feel bad Annunaki. I've stepped on so many people's toes on this site because of this film, so I don't feel at all like lecturing someone. And it sucks that that the people you know don't like talking about Prometheus. same here... Btw Fleshvessel, I hope you and I are cool and that there's no hard feelings between us. you're right when you say it's classy when someone admits that they were out of line.

@Gimmeafacehug- Of course. You guys are my home away from home. (And sometimes on the toilet.) :) As for Chris' ideas- i agree, what a beautiful resemblance with the Queen in Aliens. Would be a nice nod to see something similar in the film. Also, some depictions (or live-action, of course) of Xeno vs Engineer massive scale outbreak would be just fine with me. I also agree with Anu, in that a certain style and influence was set in the first film (Pyramids, Sumerian influence, statues, etc.) and i would like to see a Paradise that is in keeping with this. I know this may be a silly question, but do you think David and Shaw have a 'full payload' on their Juggernaut as well? Is the possibility of them infecting Paradise a realistic one?

I going to try to post a decent reply: the way I see it: The xenomorphs are gods because: * they are the perfect natural killing machine, they have acid for blood, razorsharp teeth and claws, a deadly tail etc. *They are blindingly fast and deadly from the get-go. *It only takes hours for them to fully mature. Why the engineers are gods: *They have all this technology. *They are physically strong as well. *they have conquered and seeded/ terraformed worlds. What I want to see in Prometheus 2: I want to see a ‘theme’ of nature vs mankind. Like, the engineers discovered the xenomorph species (eggs) somewhere in space, they tried to make a bio-weapon out of it but it turned on them, infesting their home planet…Then we show up and we are baffled by the destruction of this once great civilization and we get to battle a few remnants of the xenomorph/engineer hybrids and maybe we even get to meet a friendly engineer…maybe. Anyways, I still wanted to see the elephant getting facehugged and what came out of it but oh well… Lesson learned: don’t screw with nature because it will always bite you in the *ss! And Fleshvessel: bringing the infestation to them is even better. There goes another species.  Again, this all contributes to the ‘we humans-are-ruining-the-planet-and-even-the-universe-thingy’-theme. And there are definitely more engineers with different clothing and a higher social status...like a medicine-man.

Let your imagination run riot Chris, this site was your creation, so feel free!! :-) Yeah, I too would love to see Paradise overrun & reduced to a wasteland of monuments etc. How cool would it be to have some engy v morb battle scenes though, maybe even in flashback? I've always thought there is the possibility that David could cause the extinction of the homeworld, whether by accident or design. He's always had his own agenda & most definitely will be a lynchpin of sorts. ps glad everyone is on speaking terms again, you guys rock!

I can be too touchy and sensetive at times, and I've been guilty of disrespecting peoples comments in the past, which I regret! So please don't feel bad Anunnaki. I apologise also! I consider everone on this site a friend of sorts! We all share a common interest with one another, Alien and Prometheus. So lets all get back to being friends and discussing our favourite topic!...

@Anunnaki, Attacks the views of people, not the people itself, because that way you are demonstrating a lack of arguments, nothing more. The passion is not generated because you love this theory, is generated because you can not defend your position and then you get angry. I said it before and I'll say it again; less passion and more arguments. In fact I never lose control of my emotions because it's best to remain calm. I don't feel offended btw, don't worry, I'm just expressing my disagreement with your thoughts, that's all.

Chris, All I can say about this artwork is gimme more! This is exactly what I am hoping to see in P2! Also, good to see you all respectful of differing opinions, as that is a true sign of intelligent life forms. It is also why I enjoy the discussion of some very creative ideas & interpretations on this site. It is in the spirit of this site to explore all ideas with respect to the person posting. Cheers!

It would just be Shaw and David's head observing and scrutinizing a bunch of statues. One thing is for certain, Ridley and Fox will definitely not create a film that just appeals to the hardcore fans of the Alien/Prometheus universe, it will be something that appeals to the masses, unfortunately! @Shambhala. There is nothing wrong with a bit of passion, you can be passionate about something without being disrespectful. For example, when i'm having a pint with my dad at the pub, and we get talking to a few lads at the bar, I have to tell him to calm down because he gets so worked up when someone disagrees with him about a subject he is passionate about (Football and Manchester United.) He's WAY TOO passionate about it! And then he has a go at me for telling him to calm down hahah. But then I just tell him that if he carries on i'll knock him out. So he stops. We are currently not on speaking terms, which is very common with us! So what i'm trying to say is, that you can be passionate about something, disagree with somebody, but still be respectful. @Necronom 4, One thing is the love that someone feels for Prometheus, and another is when you hold a position based on a theory, because then I can come here to refute that, but what you should not do is exploit. That just shows that you can not defend your premise with arguments and you prefer to make a tantrum, or say expletives rather than refute what the person is saying. But please, let's not mix apples and oranges, because sometimes the passion (not in all cases of course) is nothing more than an excuse to be an idiot. I've been listening to the same speech over and over again, is almost cartoonish, and If you do not agree with an opinion, then you argue, But let's put aside childish things, because I assume that most of us are adults.
