MemberNeomorphSep-13-2013 4:11 AMThanx for sharing Svanya. I hadn't seen that documentary before. He left his burger in the oven for 4 hours lol. I can't understand why a lot of people don't like his art and why some even hate it. Maybe it's because they have no imagination and can't see the beauty in it. Or maybe it's because it forces them to take a look at the darkness in themselves. The man's a genius!
The poster was good though!

@ Necronom 4, I think Giger has a disturbing edge to his humour in art which some people either find distasteful or just don't get it. Personally I love it. Giger imo has a unique perspective on design and its that uniqueness that makes him a genius in my eyes. Love his work.

MemberOvomorphSep-14-2013 12:05 AMBatch- well said.
N4- when you take in his fields of dying babies and dunes of infected flesh, you're challenged to consider your ideas about self and reality, much less art. The claustrophobic marriage of flesh and metal. Sex and pain rendered with such singularity. He would have been burned at the stake two centuries ago, it takes oodles of talent, madness and courage to put such things on display. I thank you as well, Svanya!

MemberOvomorphSep-15-2013 11:27 AMWow! You can really see The Jockey in a few of those! 'Atomic Children' especially!! It almost seems like this and The Morb were designs he just couldn't get enough of.
Very Cool- what an interesting watch, Thank You!

Giger is the greatest living influential artist of our time. His influence is so HUGE that heaven and hell might just kind of look like them but of course those real places are separate realities beyond our comprehension to time, space and place. Owning one of his paintings is BIG investment and equity! That's of course if it isn't really the end of the civil-eye-nation yet then all it is good for is making a fire to keep warm and cooking what ever you can find to eat. Which will most likely be a family relative after our pets are gone. Deacon Indeed!

First time I've seen many of those creations, such as the fountain, garden & bar!
I love that he still uses the same old chair with the broken backrest! Giger is a natural born genius!
