About two months ago, I started writing a script for the sequel to Prometheus. I have decided to post what I have so far, which is about 70 pages. This script is the first one I have ever written. For years I have wanted to write a script, but the formatting always threw me for a loop. Well, I decided to force myself to learn the basics. Please keep in mind that it does not have a title page and the pages are not numbered (laziness on my part).
Anyway, this script is roughly what I envision the first hour of the movie would be. I also envision that this film should be a total of 2 and one half hours, in my opinion. The first thing you should know about my script is that Dr. Shaw does not make an appearance. I didn’t want to try and tell two stories at the same time because I believe it interrupts the flow and pace of the movie.

Not sure if I will continue it or not. Feel free to give me some constructive feedback, because I will need it if I try to write another script.

MemberOvomorphJul-31-2013 3:38 PMI read through this yesterday. It's a nicely-written screenplay, although the dialogue was a little trite. Not sure I really understand the whole "Vickers re-animated as a robot" angle you went with, I thought it was pretty clear from the original film (and this has been confirmed in interviews with Scott and Lindleof) that Vickers was not a robot. To make it a little more in-line with the original film, I would suggest maybe adding another angle to the Vickers subplot: Perhaps the Vickers from the first film is a robot that the real Vickers (back on earth) never knew about? That would leave the door open for another appearance from Vickers in future films, in both her Android and human form.
I really liked the idea of the scene where David P lands back on LV-223 with Shaw in stasis.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading it. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for taking the time to read my script. I greatly appreciate the feedback. Regarding the Vickers/android subplot, I had worked out a backstory on Vickers and her relationship with Weyland, but I didn't want to give away too much in the beginning. I wanted to give subtle hints and clues once she was re-introduced into the story. Vickers wasn't "re-animated" as a robot. The character Styles brought an android body for her in the case that hers was damaged beyond repair. Again, this was Vickers way of "Minimizing risk." In fact, the Magellan's mission, which was initiated by Vickers in secret, was for her selfish reasons and not so much for the other crew members of Prometheus.
David coming back to LV-223 seemed logical to me, because I know that he would want to have himself repaired and fully functional. I just couldn't imagine them meeting the Engineers with Shaw holding David's head so he can translate. LOL!
