New Site Filter - Goodbye Spam

As some of you have probably noticed, we've been having annoying spammers sign up and try to advertise their sites/brands/products on our forums without permission and without purchasing ad space. This is all around SPAM. Our method of banning only works AFTER a spam post has been made. This has worked to an extent, but spammers are easily capable of signing up again and again. So - to counter attack this, I have developed and installed a THREAD APPROVAL system. New members who wish to start a new topic, and who go to the "Start A Discussion" page and submit a thread, their thread will be held awaiting approval until a staff member has a chance to review it, clear it as not spam and then approve it. This process takes all of a few minutes in most cases and genuine posts will be published to the site instantly. Spam however will not see the light of day and spammer account caught submitting spam will be auto-deleted, Banned and their IPs tracked in our database. I understand many of you and the staff, myself included have been annoyed to no end with the amount of spam posted here. So this new system will block a very large portion of it. If you spot a spammer on the SB, or comments sections, please advised a staff member. A "REPORT THIS USER" feature will be implemented very soon as well to accompany this new approval system. BUT - To regular members, don't worry. Once you have made a few "genuine", ie. NOT spam posts, you will NOT need to go through this approval process and your threads will be published automatically and available for discussion.
