What if the Deacon that has burst from the Engineer was actually the Engineer himself, but he is taking his shape of his smaller form being the Deacons body. Because the mural of the Xeno/Deacon looking creature on the wall of the temple, it may be telling us that these are the second forms/lives of the Engineers.
It's a little tough to explain in words, but thats the best i can do. Just lemme know what you thing
