I have been wondering that myself. Actual Director's Cut!? Yeah right. To be honest, i'm torn after seeing deleted scenes. Some were amazing and should never have been removed (Milburn finding tadpole alien with enthusiasm-this makes his later behavior SO much more believable) while others I was actually happy they cut/shortened. (Charlize's lengthy chat with Weyland, or the Shaw/Engineer battle- this had a B horror movie feel) So, all of that is to say I have no idea, sorry Claudius.

ewwww....i really liked the complete scene between vickers and weyland. in fact, that is the only deleted scene i really would liked to have see in the film (i could go either way with the scene you mentioned. i can certainly see the argument for). Aside from maybe 3 scenes total, the rest of the deleted/alternate scenes were GREAT editing calls (imo). I have no clue what is going to be happening in 9 days. its baffling. i hope its official news from fox. No offense @chris (you and others do an incredible job with this site!!), but if your nov. 10th news is not officially related to prometheus/sequel etc., then i would at least tell folks that: countdown is going to be a surprise....no affiliation with fox etc.

I thought the Mayan End of the world was in December?..Oh my .. I best start a Prometheus continous viewing session..to prepare to meet the Engineers,,or Elders..or Creators..or Xenos....or..(gulp)..David.

we will know when the end is near because it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane..... and some guy named Lenny Bruce is not afraid.

@fleshvessel: yeah...its quite odd, but you'll find a lot of that around here. anyways...I really wish chris would just say if the news that will be coming down in approximately 5 days is official prometheus/sequel news or SFMN prometheus/sequel news. I say that because if the reveal is SFMN news, then this website isnt going to get its due credit. what would otherwise be exciting news might get pummeled because people were thinking that 10/11/12 (11/10/12) would be related to an official (and big) prometheus announcement. Either way, looking forward to the date...hoping for "official" prometheus news.
