Is LV223 just a galactic sperm bank?

There's two bits of the mound that are bothering me, one is the xenomorph 'doorway mural', the other is what is down that deep hole where Holoway takes his helmet off? Down that hole must be heat, perhaps the origin of life (black goo)? I don't think the Engineer's are making the black liquid, they seem to be harvesting it.

Hmmmm, interesting twist! Although, I thought I think in the concept art showing the schematics of the dome structure, it doesn't show that pipe going into the ground. Although I could be wrong, and it could have been left out on purpose to keep the secret that it is in fact native to LV_223. However I have a funny feeling it is an "Engineered" substance just based on the Engineer "Haz-mat" suits we saw, and the manner in which they were described. Honestly though I don't know. You do bring up a good point as we didn't see any "Factory" to make the Black Goo in the film at any time. So it's possible it could have been harvested from the planet itself.

Lots of people have been wondering about the mural and whether or not it is a doorway. There's only speculation about that, I'm afraid. There's certainly a lot going on in that room, more than meets the eye. I for one find the lack of in-your-face explanation tantalising. It doesn't have to be heat down the hole. We aren't given much info on temperature other than that the tunnels themselves are below zero ('Martian piss' joke). But I would say the impression is given here that this is the source of the terraformer. As to whether the Engineers harvest the black liquid, we don't know. They've been working with it, or variants of it, for many millions of years. They are clearly an advanced technological race. But, who knows, maybe there are higher creatures that created them and the original goo in the first place. Could be.

Well there are so so many possibilities and the new Weyland clues well seem to add more mystery as they rule out some rational theories and thus lend to theories that have the most holes lol. The only thing we can go by is the bellow. 1) LV 223 does seem to be Tera-Formed to support a atmosphere that Mankind can breath, at the very least within the Temple Compound. But Why? 2) We have the Giant Head Statue, this appears to depict the Engineer Race and a symbol of their power. Is thus just for themselves, a statement to themselves, or indeed is it their for our eventual arrival due to the Invitation/Clues. 3) Throughout many clues, it states that the Engineers created something on that outpost that they should not have done and hints that it was used as a Bio Weapons Facility. To me this tells me that they experimented with the Goo to create something related and connected to the Xeno but it got out of hand and nearly wiped every single one of them out. Thus maybe the Sacrificial Scene those Engineers did not have knowledge about the creation of what those canisters contained or the eventual experiments on LV 223. Looking at the Mural, it appears that it may be some kind of Tomb behind that Mural.

As far as the Sperm Bank goes... Yes we dont know yet if the Goo can be combined with other Agent as a form of storing DNA into those Urns and before the movie many did speculate could those Urns be a way to Store many different kinds of life form. Essentially a method to catalogue and store various lifeforms.
