MemberOvomorphSep-27-2012 7:33 AMIf some of you know or don't, Prometheus had one unidentified soundtrack which couldn't be find in the OST. Now this track sounds same like track no.8 "Too Close" but it isn't the same. This came right after the piano ballad in the end credits.
You can listen it here in YouTube.
I happen to like this a lot :D

MemberOvomorphSep-27-2012 8:15 AMThe more I listen to the Prometheus score, the more I like it. I really don't get the people who rubbish it. It's awesome in my opinion.
The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent

MemberOvomorphSep-27-2012 8:40 AMThanks! And yea I agree, the soundtrack might have felt subpar the first time, but it is truly a soundtrack that is growing on me.

MemberOvomorphSep-27-2012 8:48 AMthis, I think that starts in the scene where he says Vickers (Father) to Weyland!

MemberOvomorphSep-27-2012 9:16 AM@zzplural, Tykjen - I agree, Prometheus has good scores that dig really deep into
@Hicks - This ,in my understanding, doesn't play during the movie, only in the end credits after the piano ballad.

MemberOvomorphSep-27-2012 10:03 AMyup. totally agree. I was somewhat ambivalent about the score after first hearing it (felt that, contextually, it wasnt in line with the film). After repeated viewings of the film and further (more objective) listening, i felt that i had misjudged the score. It is very nice! very appropriate!

Same here, but to each his own. :P

MemberOvomorphSep-27-2012 12:30 PMThe track plays when Janek warns the scientests about the "incoming storm front". I love this track because of its amazingly creepy choir effects and that it's actually a chase track, an evolution of "Too Close/Going In".
I would call it "Incoming" or "Storm Front" for want of a better title :-)

MemberOvomorphSep-27-2012 2:21 PMIf I remember correct the score in the storm scene was track no. 8 "Too Close", which sound exactly like this one but isn't it.

MemberOvomorphSep-27-2012 4:43 PMMy fave track is "going in" ....I love the buildup and they used it more than once in the movie if i remember correctly....but it's a pity that they did not use "Judge and Jury" and "sarajevo" in the movie and only the trailers.......it would have been fine tracks to use even if they changed them slightly just to fit the scene....I love those tracks....

MemberFacehuggerSep-27-2012 5:09 PMYeah, the soundtrack has really grown on me for sure. It's subtle, like the movie itself, so it's a nice fit. Just took some getting used to.

Speaking of the soundtrack, does anyone have any scans of the sleeve insert?

MemberOvomorphJan-25-2013 8:54 AMHi brothers and sisters, I also love the soundtrack now (thou at first I found it to be underwhelming). I am a composer/producer and I have made my own track inspired by Prometheus - I sampled some sounds from the international trailer and from those 2 amazing virals; "Introducing David" and "Quiet Eye" - I have made a dialogue between David and Shaw! I hope you enjoy it and please feel free to share.
