Keeping the Sequel(s) as far out as possible

The first one is the simplicity factor.
I don't expect an ultra complicated story line. In fact, If you look into both Alien and Prometheus they are pretty straight-forward: Men go to space, find aliens, bad things happen. And that is the main movie Plot as is.
Even in regards of Sub-Plots they are not mind bending as some folks pretend them to be, little less in Prometheus: creator vs created beings; created beings vs robot; belief vs fact; questions vs bloody actions.
So why should the Sequel be any diferent Plot wise (i.e. more complicated)?
The second one is the answers factor:
I have a serious doubt about the Full Circle into Alien material. It seems to me very clear that Sir Ridley was reinventing his own mythos, introducing diferent perspectives, focusing on the SJ right from the start. Which, in my book, is excelent.
New perspectives allow for new ventures and new stuff to come about. Repetition of the old is just plain repetition, which, for the visionary cineast is boresome altogether. Even if for Fan pleasing, more so.
The Aesthetic factor:
I suspect that if the direct sequel takes right from where Prometheus left, the Sequel may take two distinct turns:
1 - more about Company (Weyland and Yutani merger) and what from there results
2 - Shaw and David 8's trip to "Heaven"
And I suspect we'll see more of the first than the second. It's one of those things that forces the fans to stick around forever: don't tell whole story at once, give them interludes enough to whait for the "yet another" next instalment.
But, if it gets done by Sir Ridley, sure thing there will be magnificent Scenes for the Aesthetic lovers.
One certainty, though:
What we WILL NOT SEE: Predators. No Predators. NO PREDATORS!
Ask nothing from no one. Demand nothing from no one. Expect nothing from no one.
