Maybe the above is the actual suit in the film now that I look at it. I didn't read much that night. I tend to go dumb when there's that many colors and sounds around me.

I think the "tenticle" you refer to next to the burnt Engineer and Deacon is actually a hammerpeede.

Kanes Nostromo suit is an original screen used prop that a had a few missing parts (including the back pack) re-created so that the suit would be complete.
