MemberOvomorphJul-04-2012 9:07 PMI attended the premier of Aliens in Sidney AU and it included several scenes not included in most cuts. Notably the scene where the Aliens are attacking and the Marines have set up a series of automated machine guns which almost run out of amunition.
I'd like to find a copy which included the above scene plus the later added scenes of the colonists.
Does anyone know what it called and where to get it online or on DVD?
I'm in California.

MemberOvomorphJul-04-2012 9:38 PMyou looking for it on blu ray or dvd? while im waiting on the answer, ill just go ahead and suggest you purchase the alien anthology blu ray set (if you have a blu ray player). Its remarkable in every way! without doubt, the best blu ray boxset in existence.

MemberOvomorphJul-05-2012 3:35 AMIts in the Quadrilogy DVD boxset (or at least its in mine) or it'll be under the Director's Cut banner on DVD which was also released on VHS. Remember VHS? Back in the olden days when we used to churn butter for recreation...

MemberOvomorphJul-05-2012 4:46 AMIn the Quadrilogy Box Set upon every film when you go to play it in the menue list you are given two options: The Theatrical Release and The Directors Cut release. If you always click on The Directors Cut release then you will always get the extended editions of each Alien film in succession to view.

The Director's Cut of Alien features a short scene where you see the crew listening to the "distress call".
