AvP

I watched AvP again the other night, seeing as I'd watched all the other films in order since seeing Prometheus. (not AvP:R though. There are limits) Anyway I was struck by AvP's similarities with Prometheus. A bunch of scientists, a briefing, said scientists doing silly things, bad things happen, sole female survives, ending is an alien bursting from another creature. (The best bit was when the Italian scientist realises that the Mayan calendar is based on the number 10. So, like, perhaps the pyramid reconfigures every 10 minutes... Of course! it naturally follows they had a, erm, 24 hour clock divided into hours and minutes just like ours)
