Spartacus
MemberOvomorphMay-11-2012 5:16 PM[quote]I always thought it was interesting that Ash referred to the Alien as "Kane's son"

someone please remind me in WHICH FILM THIS WAS IN...cause as far as I know this is only the case in the Allan Dean Foster books, which although are fantastic reading, amount to NOTHING and count as NOTHING in the scheme and timeline of Alien, because it just never happened in that film or any of the other films.

MemberOvomorphMay-11-2012 5:18 PMI know Spartacus! I think people get distracted onto other threads, forget and as i the cyclical nature of things it comes back to bite us all in the ass! lol! Still a good chit-chat about though...

MemberOvomorphMay-11-2012 6:40 PMIf I recall, it is when they are all debating how to corner and kill the creature. Ripley is subtly mocking Ash and evrything he suggests as a 'possible Plan' he is talking about "micro-variables in molecular air density..." if I remeber correctly!

jonesy the cat
MemberOvomorphMay-13-2012 6:39 AMDavid must have human tissue or something and maybe they impregnate him somehow and gives birth to the big chap. Hence its mechanical and biological attributes. I mean look at its teeth, is methalic
No-one
MemberOvomorphJul-22-2017 6:52 PMI don't think that's possible, facehuggers detect a host based on their "biological" make up. Even though the comics touch on facehugger embryos gestating in hosts with bad health, the chestbursters never form because of the lack of biological material to feed off. Think of the embryos as human, in pregnancy the foetus feeds off the host body's food ingestion and receives nutrition via the placenta. As Artificial Person's like David has no need to ingest food, he only did so on the Prometheus mission to emulate human traits to make his counterparts more comfortable. And I don't believe David's biofluid would be sufficient to support an alien embryo.
