i didn't either frantz nor did sigourney i think your right it ridley's own speculation but needles to say its there for all to see/ hear on the commentary. However i'm sure that after 9 years since he made the comment he may have a completely new view point . GO TO SCENE ASH ATTACKS with the 2003 commentary cast and crew.

My Pop was in charge of IRWIN TOY which then Bought "ATARI" so they could mfg., the units in Japan and sell them here, When they arrived I had to approve each cartridge before they went on sale in Canada. It was my POP's job to do it, but he knew I would love to do it so he gave me a BOX with every single cartridge that went on sale here, because I approved them...MY EGO loves that story !!! I loved "Kaboom" from Activision by the way and approved it, as well as this game I cannot remember the name of in which you had a King in each corner of the screen and each player had a paddle and you had to get the bouncing ball to break through the other kings walls and kill each King before they killed you...what a small world that you would mention Atari of all things man. My buddies and I used to get corked and play that game all night after practicing our rock band act and eating Pizza Bagels while playing video games all night long. Good Times...Good Times...

@alteredstate: thanx for that info, i have not seen that 2003 commentary, all i have really seen is the commentary that was included in the ALIEN Deluxe Laser Disc Box Set (1992) i will have to Youtube some of the latter commentaries thanx for sharing that info

yw shardy hope you can find that on you tube but you can purchase the anthology for a reasonable price these days even if all the films are not to your liking the extras are worth the price.

well ridley apparently said to ian holm, "instead of just beating her up how do you feel about sex drive" and holm said "great" ridley then goes on to say" i feel he always wanted to do it but doesn't have the part so he uses the sex mag as a substitute", sigourney is laughing her head off and says "really i had no idea of the freudian overtones" ...ridley says," i hope no kids are listening to this commentary". He says" i wanted to see him stick it up her hooter" lol sigourney said "no surely ridley would never do that" but she says, "i never knew that hooter is cockney slang for nose" lol.

apparently he was fine with the idea according to ridley. I cant believe you guys have not listened to this commentary .
